Next 05, 06 e 07 November 2010 the city of Salerno have the honor of hosting the biannual congress of EYE European Young Engineers Association, organized for the first time in Europe, in co-operation of the ASME, American Society of Mechanical Engineers who will provide all training workshops. This event will bring in Salerno over two hundred young engineers from across Europe, professionals engaged in various sectors and representing associations operating in 13 European Union countries.

ASME is one of the largest engineering organizations in the world, was founded in 1880 as the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, and in time became a reference for standardization. The ASME is a professional organization "Not-For-Profit" time collaboration, knowledge sharing and development of training through the disciplines, and at the same time, promoting the vital role of engineers in society. The "Codes" and ASME standards, publications, conferences, continuing education and professional development programs provide the foundation for advanced technical knowledge in the work of key engineers from around the world.
The Association GIO.IN. Salerno, EYE delegate for Italy, had the task of organizing the event, with the collaboration of the Italian associations young engineers and members of the contribution of local authorities concerned to encourage the development of the territory and promotion at European level of resources tourist.
The event will include, besides the participation of about 200 engineers from across Europe, the presence of the delegation of Italian associations and all associated GIO.IN. for an involvement of about 500 engineers.
